Frequently Asked Questions

Allmax batteries are currently available to purchase on Amazon in the US, UK, Germany, France, Italy and Spain. You can visit our Amazon stores at Amazon.com, Amazon.co.uk, Amazon.de ,Amazon.fr, Amazon.it, and Amazon.es.

Allmax batteries are manufactured using a proprietary process called EnergyCircle® Technology that combines state-of-the-art manufacturing with premium-grade components to maximize battery performance. This process enables our batteries to last longer than regular batteries both in use and in storage. Allmax batteries are also leak-proof and impact-resistant so they are rugged and ready for heavy use. Compared to other high-performance batteries, Allmax batteries are available at an affordable price, so you get more power for less money.
Allmax batteries are high-capacity dry batteries that use manganese dioxide as the positive electrode, zinc as the negative electrode, and potassium hydroxide as the electrolyte. Our lithium coin battery is made of manganese dioxide, metal lithium or its alloy metal, and use a non-aqueous electrolyte solution. All batteries are fully charged, provide maximum power, and are considered ultra long-lasting. They are also free of mercury, cadmium and lead, so they are safe for the environment and safe for daily household or business use.

When batteries are working normally there should be no heating. However, heating of the battery may indicate a short circuit. Please do not connect the positive and negative electrodes of the batteries randomly, and store the batteries at room temperature.

As a general rule, parents should keep batteries away from children. Batteries should never be treated as toys. DO NOT squeeze, beat, place near the eyes, or swallow the batteries. If an accident happens, seek medical attention immediately. Call your local emergency number or the National Battery Ingestion Hotline at 1-800-498-8666 (USA) for medical help.

Allmax AA and AAA batteries maintain optimal power for up to 10 years in proper storage. This means under proper storage conditions you can use them any time within in 10 years. The shelf life of our other batteries are as follows: C & D batteries are 7 years, 9V batteries are 7 years, AAAA batteries are 5 years, Lithium Coin CR2032 are 10 years, and LR44 are 3 years.

Yes, please consider the following suggestions. Turn off your electrical device or its switch when not in use. Remove batteries from your device if it will not be in use for a long period of time. Store batteries in a cool, dry place at room temperature.

If a battery leaks due to improper use or storage conditions, please do not touch the leakage with your hands. As best practice, wear goggles and gloves before placing the battery in a dry and ventilated area, then wipe the battery leakage with a toothbrush or a sponge. Wait for your electronic device to completely dry before adding more batteries.
Yes, absolutely. Keeping battery ends and compartment contacts clean will help to keep your electronic device running its best. Ideal cleaning materials include a cotton swab or sponge with a small amount of water. You could also add lemon juice or vinegar to the water for better results. After cleaning, quickly dry the surface of your device so there is no water residue.

Yes, definitely. Batteries should be removed from your electronic device under the following conditions: 1) When battery power has exhausted, 2) When the device will not be used for a long period of time, and 3) When the battery’s positive (+) and negative (-) poles are incorrectly placed in the electronic device. These measures can prevent the device from possible leakage or damage.

In most cases, no. Electronic devices requiring multiple batteries may work as usual even if one of them is inserted backwards, but it can lead to leakage and damage to your device. We highly recommend you check the positive (+) and negative (-) marks on your electronic device carefully, and make sure to install batteries in the correct order.

Upon disposal, any action that could cause leakage or heat to used batteries should be avoided. The best way to dispose of used batteries is to follow local battery regulations.

No. When a battery is dismantled or taken apart, contact with components can be harmful and may cause personal injury and/or fire.
Any exhausted batteries should be removed from a device immediately after they’re completely discharged. Leakage may occur if exhausted batteries are left within a device for a long period of time, which may cause damage to the device and/or personal injury.
Do not mix unpacked batteries together because this may cause a short circuit which could result in overheating, and leakage and/or explosion could occur. To avoid this hazard, batteries should be kept in their original packaging until required for use. In case that batteries’ original packaging is not available, and you need a container for storing unpacked batteries, please make sure this container is non-conductive.
The ideal environment for storing batteries is a cool and dry place. We do not recommend storing batteries in the fridge, which does not lengthen battery life. For safety reasons, please keep batteries out of reach of children and away from sources of heat like fire at all times.
Yes, it does. Batteries release more electricity at high temperatures. They may over-discharge and cause leakage as well, so batteries should not be stored next to a radiator or boiler, nor should they be kept in direct sunlight. At low temperatures, the battery’s discharge performance will decrease. Therefore, it’s always good to use a battery at normal temperature.
Yes. This is strongly recommended. Leaving batteries in a device for a long period of time may cause electrical discharge, even when the device is not in use.
No. Any combination of alkaline batteries, zinc carbon batteries, or rechargeable batteries in one device could cause damage to the device and/or leakage to the batteries.
No. Using old and new batteries together will weaken the performance of the new batteries, and could cause device damage or battery leakage. Please replace all batteries within a device at the same time.

Not really. The reason why a battery may fail to power a device is because the voltage and current of the battery cannot meet the needs of the device, but this does not necessarily mean the battery is completely depleted. As a rule of thumb, don’t leave those “dead” batteries in a device switched on too long, because this may cause device damage or battery leakage.

Yes. Allmax batteries are free of mercury, cadmium and lead so they are safe for the environment and safe to dispose of after use. Allmax batteries completely conform to environmental protection standards, and our packaging uses recyclable materials. We do our best to help protect the environment.
Allmax alkaline batteries are manufactured using a highly advanced production technique called EnergyCircle® Technology. This technology enables our batteries to hold more power and last longer than regular alkaline batteries. Quality alkaline batteries like ours can run up to 8 times longer than standard zinc-carbon or heavy-duty batteries. Allmax alkaline batteries can also hold power up to 10 years in proper storage (for AA and AAA sizes), while typical zinc-carbon heavy-duty batteries can only hold power for up to 3 years in storage.

Allmax batteries labeled “Rechargeable” can be recharged. Standard Allmax alkaline batteries CANNOT be recharged. DO NOT try and recharge standard alkaline batteries as this may lead to battery leakage or explosion. Standard alkaline batteries and specialized NiMH rechargeable batteries are NOT interchangeable. Only Allmax NiMH rechargeable batteries can be recharged. These batteries can be recharged up to 2,000 times with proper usage. Please properly identify batteries before trying to recharge.

We strongly recommend you try Allmax batteries, which are perfectly compatible with high-drain devices such as a camera flash.
Different batteries have different performance levels and are suitable for different types of electronic devices. For high-drain devices such as toy cars, flashing lights, and electric tools, alkaline batteries work perfect. For low-drain devices such as clocks, calculators, and remote controls, zinc-carbon batteries work fine. If you don’t know whether your device is high-drain or low-drain, Allmax alkaline batteries will usually be the right choice because they work with most devices.
